About the book

This story of the Keys is told by Todd Turrell and his friends Brian Schmitt and Bob Carr. Together, they present a historical overview that is both simple and informative. Their goal is to enhance public knowledge of and interest in Keys history using maps, overlays and exhibits created specifically for this book. Included are ancient maps that contain fascinating information and images, as well as a series of modern maps of today’s islands with the mile-markers that help define them, Descriptions of each area and a page of historical photographs help complete the story.
